Privacy notice
Everything you put into Zen Clutter stays on your own computer. This page sets out exactly what is kept, where, and the few things that ever leave it.

Who we are
Zen Clutter is operated by Geoartisans LLC, [registered address]. For anything on this page, write to support@zenclutter.com.
The desktop application
Everything you put into Zen Clutter stays on your own computer. There is no account to create, nothing to sign in to, and the application works with the internet switched off.
What it keeps, and where
Zen Clutter keeps what you enter in a database file on your PC, in the application’s own storage:
- the name you give it
- your PIN, if you set one, stored only as a one-way hash that cannot be turned back into the PIN
- your tasks, calendar entries, focus sessions, goals, notes and journal
- the people and links you have saved
- your desktop shortcuts, which are lists of files on your PC
- your settings
The documents you file with Zen Clutter stay in ordinary folders inside your own home folder, in a folder called ZEN CLUTTER. The application also writes a log of its own errors to its storage on your PC, so that a problem can be looked into. That log never leaves your computer unless you choose to send it to someone.
What leaves your computer
Nothing, unless you do something that sends it.
- Opening a link you saved opens it in your web browser. The site you visit sees that visit, under its own privacy policy.
- Exporting or copying a backup writes files to a place you choose, such as a USB drive.
Zen Clutter has no analytics, telemetry, advertising or crash reporting, and it does not check for updates by itself. Updates come through the Microsoft Store.
The Microsoft Store
Microsoft handles downloading, installing and updating Zen Clutter, under Microsoft’s privacy statement. Microsoft gives app publishers anonymous, aggregated statistics such as install and crash counts. We cannot see who you are, or anything you have put into the application.
Keeping it safe
Your information is as private as your Windows account. A PIN stops somebody who picks up your computer from opening Zen Clutter, but it is not encryption: the files are on your disk, and anyone who can sign in to your Windows account can open them without the application.
Your control
You can view, change, export or delete anything in the application at any time, and Settings shows exactly where your information is kept.
Uninstalling Zen Clutter removes what it keeps in its own storage. Documents in your ZEN CLUTTER folder are not removed. If you want to keep your tasks, notes and journal, use Backup to export or copy them before you uninstall.
This website
This site is deliberately quiet. Specifically:
The site sets none. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.
No Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, no session recording.
The Archivo typeface is served from this server, not from Google Fonts, so your browser makes no request to another company to read this page.
Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, page requested, time, browser user-agent) as a normal part of running and securing a web server. These are retained by the host and are not used by us to profile anyone.
The contact form
If you use the form on the homepage we receive the name, email address and message you type, plus the IP address the message came from, which is recorded to help us deal with spam and abuse.
We use it to answer you, and for nothing else. It is not added to a mailing list, not used for marketing, and not shared with any third party beyond the email provider that carries the message to our inbox. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about our product.
Enquiries are kept in our mailbox for [retention period] and then deleted.
Buying a license
The Microsoft Store version of Zen Clutter is free. Licenses apply to the copy sold on this site.
Payment is handled by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as merchant of record. When you buy, you give your details to them, not to us — we never see or store your card number. They pass us the information needed to issue your license key and to deal with support and refunds. Their own privacy policy governs what they do with it.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to our using it. Write to support@zenclutter.com and we will respond within one month. If you are in the UK you may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office; elsewhere in the EEA, to your national data protection authority.
Changes
If this notice changes we will update the date at the top. Material changes will be called out on this page rather than made quietly.
